About the Speaker:

Mark Savage, a seasoned motorcycle racer, spent his childhood on a vast cattle station in the Australian outback. Growing up on a 3.3 million-acre family farm, education was a monthly affair during town visits, where he learned to read and write at home. Mark’s passion for racing began at the age of 4, and by 13, he received support from Honda. At 16, he turned pro, venturing into an international career despite financial challenges.

Mark achieved success and faced setbacks in his motorcycle racing career, ultimately setting a world record for 24 hours on a motocross track in 2009. Although the record was later broken due to rule changes, Mark is determined to reclaim it. Now, at 49 years old, he aspires to achieve the longest motorcycle jump in history—aiming for 500ft—with support from Red Bull. Mark’s journey, including the challenges and preparations for the monumental jump, unfolds over the next 12 months, showcasing his resilience and determination to pursue dreams even as he juggles family responsibilities with a wife and an 11-month-old baby. Join him on this thrilling adventure and witness his pursuit of greatness before age catches up.
